Meet Nourishment

Meet Nourishment

The Journey

We are 3 weeks away from the release of my new pattern 'Nourishment'! I am so excited to share it with all of you. It has been quite a journey. I thought it would be fun to take you through that journey and how it has become what it is today.

Take 1

When I first got the idea for my design I was actually in the kitchen. I know. Weird, right? I was plating up dinner for my family. I think we were having Chickpea Quesadillas that night. We use Currier and Ives plates ( I'll show you below) and an idea came into my head. The design and colors were right there. So....I went right to work. I created my first small sample using 4 blocks in a blue and white fabric. It was nice but it wasn't perfect. So I continued on......

Take 2

After I tried the blue and white I realized it was great but it wasn't....ME! SO I went back to the drawing board and ordered some fabric that I thought would work out. I made a throw size this time. The whole time I was hand quilting it something felt off. It just wasn't making me sing. I wanted a little brighter...a little happier.

Take 3...The Final Take

After I realized what I wanted I was able to get it RIGHT. FINALLY!! So I ordered the fabric...got to work sewing...and was finally happy with my results. I decided on Slow Stroll from Fancy That Design House. The fabrics are so adorable. The have beautiful designs and the colors are just what I was wanting at that time. It felt like home.

This quilt is in the final stages of the pattern tester phase and I have to say...they are doing great!! I love seeing the quilt come together from others and hear their reactions and what they love about the design.

I will be sharing some special things and a coupon leading up to the release of my pattern. Be sure you get my newsletter so you can get all the details!
